Tuition Levels
Education is a journey unique to each individual. As an educator I keep this understanding central when planning lessons, which are tailored to the students strengths, interests and goals. Everyone learns in unique ways, and, by working one to one with students, I am able to focus lessons on their preferred way of learning. Thus allowing them to gain the most possible from each session; utilising their interests and natural abilities to ensure they can effectively use the English language, in both written and verbal forms.
I am passionate about helping students appreciate and succeed in their studies of English Language and Literature. Tuition is provided to a wide range of students, from primary age pupils to adult learners. The majority is with students taking A-level, GCSE or Functional Skills exams, helping them to get the best grades possible, though I also have students who are not interested in taking exams but simply seeking to improve their spoken and/or written English skills. Students' needs range from learning the basic sounds of reading to learning how to formulate answers to essay questions for A-level and GCSE grading and I greatly enjoy finding the best way to help all my students reach their goals.
As a member of The Tutors Association (TTA), I am required to comply with their Code of Practice for Tutors, which includes undertaking relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and holding an Enhanced DBS Certificate to work with children and vulnerable adults.
